LED tables

LED tables

Bringing LED furniture straight from VIP clubs and lounges to your front door, Customized Designs is now offering LED tables with even more additions for the tech savvy among us. Ideally the table would suit the bar décor to promote events and drink specials or even menus, but it can be connected to any video device or can be used to run slideshows, and even used to play games on it. With its 1/4″ glass top, it won’t scratch like acrylic and is durable enough to protect the 32” screen.

Galaxy Dress

Galaxy Dress

LED clothing has been around for a while now. Glow fur coats, LED tops, bra – we have seen it all. Though I am not sure as to who would love to wear them in public except for the wannabe’s, teenagers or those suffering from attention deficit disorder, there are designers like this London-based duo from CuteCircuit, who earlier won the Best Inventions of 2006 by Time Magazine for their Hug Shirt, and has now designed a dress embroidered with 24,000 full color LEDs to make sure this hi-tech fashion trend equally gets noticed among the elite.

LED Laser Fingers

LED Laser Fingers

Look, these LED Laser Fingers have about as much laser in them as I do, but that’s what they’re called ok? They push over the ends of your fingers for events like raves, concerts and poetry slams, whatever they are. You get 2 of each colour in a pack for a total of 8 and the three AG3 batteries last for 2 nights of partying. ~US$8 per pack of 8, with a minimum order of 4 packs. How would you like to shoot rays of colored light from your fingertips? Well, now you can!

LED eyelashes

LED eyelashes

Girls, check this out – LED eyelashes could very well be the next big thing if you’re huge on fashion. After all, it sure as heck beats eyelash extensions that curl up like nobody’s business, and is a surefire way of attracting attention whenever you’re in a rave. Forget about glow sticks – this is the way to go. Soomi Parkl’s LED eyelash getup relies on a set of headphones to hold the tilt sensor as well as other electronic parts within, with spirit gum being used to affix it to your face.

SyncMaster XL2370 LED monitor

SyncMaster XL2370 LED monitor

It is nice to see the costs of monitors drop over the years, especially with the easy availability of LCD monitors that have long taken over the role of fat, chunky CRTs as the display medium of choice in millions of homes and offices worldwide. In fact, the proliferation of LCD monitors have seen advancements that come in leaps and bounds, where the current entry-level monitor would be at least an 18.5″ widescreen LCD monitor.

LED Magnetic Mine

LED Magnetic Mine

This LED Magnetic Mine sticks to any metallic surface and beams light onto your choice of place. That alone should make you gasp with wonder and joy, but that’s not all. It works off 3 tiny watch batteries which last until the end of time, or something. Apparently. $7.99.

Treetop Chaise

Treetop Chaise

If a phrase could be a description perfect for this wooden LED-illuminated chaise lounge, it would surely be something like “escape to the other world.” Introducing lighting into furniture design, designer Jean Doherty has come up with a classy lounge chair dubbed the “Treetop Chaise” that apart from being sleek and comfortable also sets the mood with integrated LED lights. Carved out of birch ply with poplar slats, the illuminating chaise features legs made of real tree branches and LED stars, while the green dye gives a natural finish to the lounge.

Solar LED Flashlight

Solar LED Flashlight

Of all eco-friendly gadgets, a lot of the eco-friendly lights are my absolute least favorite gadget. Specifically the flashlights that are powered by being wound up. They always seem to be far too dim to actually see what it is you’re doing. Hopefully since this one is solar powered as opposed to the type that you wind up, they’ll be a little on the brighter side of things. Certainly the number of LED lights that they crammed into this flashlight will help at least a little bit.

Hypnocube

Hypnocube

The HypnoCube is composed of 64 tri-color LEDs arranged in a cubical lattice. It runs up to 64 three color channel LEDs for a total of 192 individually addressable LEDs, with 16 color levels per color channel. Incredibly then, this RGB cube has 4096 colors! Simple to use, just plug in the cube and watch is amaze onlookers young and old with an alternating, unpredictable cubic light show. With random paths, variable speed, 51 basic effects, and over 10 transition effects, you will never see the same show twice.

TG341S Solar LED Flashlight II Small

TG341S Solar LED Flashlight II Small

Different eco-friendly flashlights have been seen before. The ones I have seen most often are the hand crank type, which never seem to be as bright as I’d like. Well instead of being stuck with a hand crank that after 20 minutes of cranking, you get a few miniscule minutes of light, you could go for the solar route. Having a solar flashlight is a lot more convenient, since you can lay it in a windowsill and forget about it. Then when you do need a flashlight, it’s all charged and ready to go.
